The City of Fort Worth is conducting a Disparity Study of its policies and programs for minority and women owned business enterprises (M/WBE), including its contractors and subcontractor opportunities.

This public meeting will introduce the study team, present the study elements and methodology, describe the study process, and outline how stakeholders and business owners can participate in the study.

The City of Fort Worth welcomes the participation of all business owners, those who are currently doing business with the City, as well as those interested in contracting opportunities.

Please join us to learn about this important project and how you can participate.

More about the study

The study will examine whether all businesses have equal access to compete for the City’s contracting opportunities, and will ensure that current City M/WBE programs remain legally defensible and administratively successful.

The study will also:

  • Provide information to help the City set future goals for M/WBE businesses, and monitor implementation of the programs.

  • Allow stakeholder groups and business owners the opportunity to make recommendations and provide feedback on their experiences.

  • Help M/WBE firms do business with the City.

  • Determine opportunities for M/WBE firms when competing for the City's prime contractor and subcontractor opportunities.

  • Provide information about the availability of M/WBE firms, and examine race- and gender-based barriers in the Fort Worth market area.

Parking: Parking at Sundance Square Garage 3 (W. 3rd St. and Taylor) can be validated for 2.5 hours, meters on the street are free of charge after 6 p.m. (attendees parking at 5:45 p.m. or earlier, before the meeting, would need to pay a small amount.)
